Study with Bao

Study with Bao is a study timer with a panda friend. Track your study time by subject, turn photos of your notes into flashcards and quizzes with AI, and study alongside friends and groups.

Common questions

How do I delete my account?

In the app, tap your panda (top right of the home screen) to open Profile, scroll down and tap Delete account. It permanently deletes your account, username, subjects, study history, notes and photos, friends, groups you own, and notes you've shared. A subscription is billed by Apple, so cancel it separately in Settings → your name → Subscriptions.

Someone is being abusive. What do I do?

Tap ··· next to the person (in Friends or a group) and choose Report or Block. You can also report a group, a shared note or a battle from the ··· button at the top of its screen. Blocking someone ends your friendship and stops them finding you, adding you, or sending you notes or battles. We review every report within 24 hours and remove content or accounts that break our community rules. Your blocked list is in Profile → Help & safety.

Is my data backed up?

Yes. Your subjects, study sessions, notes and photos are saved to your account, so they follow you to a new phone when you sign in. The app keeps a copy on your phone too, so the timer and your notes work offline and sync when you're back online.

How do subscriptions work?

Pro and Premium are monthly or yearly subscriptions bought through the App Store. They renew automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the period. Manage or cancel in Settings → your name → Subscriptions. Changed phones? Tap Restore purchases on the plans screen.

Why didn't my AI notes or quiz work?

AI notes and quizzes need an internet connection. If one fails, it isn't counted against your limit. For the best flashcards, take a flat, well-lit photo of tidy notes. AI can make mistakes, so check anything important against your notes.

What is bamboo?

Bamboo 🎋 is earned by studying (and a little from optional ads). Spend it on outfits for your panda or stake it in study battles with friends. It can't be bought and has no cash value.

Who can use Study with Bao?

Anyone aged 13 and over. You sign in with Apple or Google.
